About Jamie Fallon

I have a varied role which is something I’ve always liked. I write a lot of site content and some blog content, I do a lot of analytics and keyword research, and then little bits like helping with CSS. I also write for the Gorilla blog when I get the time.

How did you get into the industry?

I started doing freelance SEO and content writing when I was studying. When I moved to a new city, I had enough work to start doing it full time. I used that to blag my way into the position I’m in now.

What’s your favourite part of your job?

Everyone at Gorilla is friendly, it’s a great working environment.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Spend time with my wife, play chess, play guitar, listen to music, play Football Manager. I also really, really love to eat. Most of my conversations start with what did you have for dinner, what are you going to have for dinner, what should we eat later, did you get anything nice to eat on the weekend, that kind of thing.

Tell us the most interesting fact you know

There’s enough ink in a biro to draw a continuous five-mile line on five miles’ worth of paper. Follow-up fact, if you fold a five-mile square piece of paper as small as it can go, it ends up the size of an average A4 page!

What’s your favourite film / TV show?

Probably classic Simpsons, but I also like Peep Show, Father Ted, Black Books and Shooting Stars.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

Florence. I went once and loved it and I’ve not had the chance to go back yet. Or anywhere in the Caribbean so I can lie on the beach with nothing to do.

What’s on the menu for your last meal on death row?

Unlimited fajitas! Red pepper, onion, whole garlic cloves and fake chicken mixed and charred in a pan with salt, pepper, chilli flakes, onion granules, smoked paprika and some soy sauce. Fresh guacamole, fresh chopped tomato, fresh coriander and lettuce mix, white rice from a rice cooker and proper warm wraps with those little charred spots you get on them when they’re just come from the grill. Hot sauce and salt to go on top. I can down five, sometimes maybe six fajitas in one sitting.
