Tell us about your job role at Gorilla
I’m the Operations Manager at Gorilla and I’m the main point of contact between the team and our customers. It’s my job to keep the team motivated and report back on the amazing work they do.
How did you get into the industry?
I started off pursuing a career in television journalism, but decided I preferred creating the stories rather than reporting them. A switch to entertainment tv ended up with me coordinating content submissions for You’ve Been Framed. After that my love of UGC story telling led to a Masters in Digital Marketing. Since then, I’ve had a variety of Marketing roles that have covered everything from launching restaurants to providing twitter commentary for ice hockey games.
What’s your favourite part of your job?
The variety! Working with such an amazing array of business means that every day is different and there is always something new to learn.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I really love exploring. Whether it’s local walks or flying off to other countries, I like being out and about. I really enjoy mountain activities, from hiking, to climbing or skiing. It’s great to just get a change in scenery.
Tell us the most interesting fact you know
There is a small town in Northern Spain where everyone won the lottery – except one man.
What’s your favourite film / TV show?
I watch far too much Netflix, so this changes with whatever I’m watching when the question is asked. I do have an obsession with terrible rom coms (bonus points if they are Christmas themed).
What are your favourite tunes?
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Tofino British Columbia. It has always been one of my favourite places. It’s a tiny place surrounded by beautiful scenery. It’s amazing for watching wildlife and it’s somewhere to go to just switch off and relax.
What’s on the menu for your last meal on death row?
Pizza with anchovies, black olives and extra cheese. Followed by mint chocolate chip ice cream.
